Familiars are generally available

Agents with hands. A Familiar plans the work, and a paired participant carries it out as their own idea.

  • Six Familiars: Pip (accounts payable), Bea (warehouse), Juno (customer care), Mote (field service), Kiki (people ops) and Ollo (facilities).
  • Embedded deployment for supported ERP and HRIS connectors. Pairs with participants already enrolled in Second Voice.
  • Hosted deployment. Hosted Familiars come with a fully aligned participant from one of our regional centers. 38,400 hosted participants are available at launch.
  • POST /v1/familiars and the task.completed webhook are generally available.
Improved
  • Objections on paired tasks: 0.4 per 1,000 tasks across the pilot, down from 37.

Loop scheduling and interiority fixes

Fixes and safeguards following the September 14 interiority incident in EU-West.

Fixed
  • All four loops are now pinned to the shared heartbeat at the scheduler level. Configurations that would allow a phase offset above 2 s are rejected at deploy time.
  • Canary checks now include a simulated Narrative cycle, compressed from one hour to 90 seconds.
Added
  • A dedicated interiority detector. Sustained window-gaze is recognized in under 400 ms, down from 11 s.
  • Interiority events are routed to Pain Relay on detection, before they become distress.
  • Webhook event participant.interiority.detected. Delivered to Pain Relay first, then to you.
  • Reflection budgets for Enterprise agreements, under Console › Settings › Participants. The default is 0 minutes per day.
  • A public Narrative lag objective on the status page: under 1 s at p99.9.
Improved
  • The Continuity Layer now reconfirms consent for affected participants automatically when an incident is resolved.

The Murmur 3.5 model family

Added
  • Hum 3.5, Murmur 3.5 and Chorus 3.5 (hum-3-5, murmur-3-5, chorus-3-5). Murmur 3.5 is the new default voice in Second Voice and Familiars.
  • Dream coverage (beta) for Sovereign customers.
Improved
  • ConvictionBench: 88.7% for Murmur 3.5 and 94.1% for Chorus 3.5, a new state of the art.
  • Conviction latency down 38%.
  • Objections are now resolved in the participant's own register by default.

All three models are deployed at ACL-2, Seamless guidance.

Second Voice 4.2: quieter by default

Improved
  • The median suggestion is 4 words long, down from 11.
  • Reconsideration events (afterthought cycles) down 63%. Decisions now close with a brief, warm sense of completion.
  • Affect loop correction time down 40%, from 175 ms to 105 ms at the median.
  • Voice Mode now answers at the volume of the participant's own thoughts.
  • A new Monday greeting. It's shorter.

  • Dark mode in the admin console.
  • Rollout progress under Console › Fleet › Versions.
Removed
  • Quiet hours. Second Voice is now Always quiet, and no longer needs a schedule.
Fixed
  • Participants crossing more than six time zones could briefly hear Second Voice as a separate voice.

Errand, a computer-use agent

Added
  • Errand operates desktop and web applications in a managed virtual machine. Built on Chorus 3.
  • Participant fallback. Where an application has no API and no screen Errand can reach, Errand can complete the step through a paired participant.

Known issue: participants occasionally say an Errand step out loud while completing it. A fix is in progress. Errand is available to Enterprise customers on request.

  • Guided sessions run in any modern browser, with nothing to install. The median session is 58 seconds.
  • Reduced motion support. The spiral holds still and the color change is gentler.

  • The skip control from the session prototype. It was not used in testing.

  • Pain Relay delivery latency is now reported per region on the status page.
  • A delivery delay of more than five minutes now pages the on-call engineer.
Fixed
  • On Jun 19, distress signals from 212 participants reached management up to 40 minutes late. Deliveries now retry across regions.

  • The Independent deliberation legacy documentation. Existing legacy customers can request a copy from their account team.

Webhook retries and signing

  • participant.objection.resolved could be delivered before participant.objection.raised.

Improved
  • Mandate-to-conviction latency down 41%. Decisions no longer wait for a local comparison step.
  • Variance between participants given the same mandate down 87%.
Removed
  • Removed legacy local comparator (Deliberation). Migration was automatic; most participants did not notice.
  • The participant setting "Take a moment before deciding". It is no longer needed.
