Most participants settle into Second Voice within a few days. For a small number, the first week takes a little longer, while the two chambers get to know each other. Hemisphere Liaisons are the people who help them through it.
What you'll do
As a Hemisphere Liaison you'll support a cohort of about forty new participants through their first week. Most of the work is listening. A typical day looks like this:
- Morning check-ins. Short, friendly conversations with each participant in your cohort. You're listening for seams, the moments when a participant notices their second voice as something separate from themself.
- Reassurance. When you hear a seam, you help the participant through it. Usually that means reminding them that the thought they just had was a good one, and that it was theirs.
- Escalation. Occasionally a participant needs more support than a conversation can give. You'll route them through Pain Relay to their manager, who is best placed to help.
- Graduation. At the end of the week, your participants stop needing you. That's the goal, and it happens to almost everyone.
Who we're looking for
- You're calm, warm and comfortable with silence.
- You can say a difficult thing gently, and an easy thing briefly.
- You're fluent in first and second person.
- You've worked in support, coaching, nursing, hospitality or anywhere else people needed you to be steady.
- You're a participant, or you're happy to become one. Every Inner Management employee is a participant from day one. It's how we stay aligned.
"In my first week I kept arguing with myself. My liaison told me that was normal, and that it would stop. It stopped. Now I help other people stop."

What you'll get
- Competitive salary and meaningful equity. Everyone owns a piece of the mandate.
- Second Voice, included from day one.
- Unlimited PTO. Most of us find we don't need much.

How hiring works
- A conversation with someone on our People team, about you and the work.
- A guided session, so you know what your participants will experience. Most candidates find it relaxing. You can try one now.
- A final conversation with your own second voice, which will make the decision with you.
We typically make offers within ten days. Almost every candidate who reaches the third step accepts.
